The Horst Sauer winery in the Franconian village of Escherndorf is one of the most awarded wineries in Germany. In 2017 the Gault Millau named Horst Sauer Winemaker of the Year. Horst and his daughter Sandra Sauer together look after over 18 hectares of the best vineyards in Franconia, including Lump and F\u00fcrstenberg. On this estate you will find grape varieties such as Silvaner, M\u00fcller-Thurgau, Riesling, Weissburgunder, Bacchus, Scheurebe or Sp\u00e4tburgunder. The result is outstanding wines with unmistakable, concentrated fruit and a long shelf life.<\/p>\n
