Tasting note

Immediately after opening the bottle, the wine appears delicate, gentle and quiet. A spicy, smoky smell with a subtle note of clove penetrates the nose. On the palate I taste ripe sour cherries, juicy plums and sweet forest raspberries. The cuvée reminds me of an elegant Amarone. This aroma picture brings classical music to my mind. A gripping symphony of red fruits. The addition of violets and a little blackberry creates a fusion that gives off a hint of sulfur. A real firework of flavors.

With air, the dominant aroma of berry juice in spicy heaviness and a minimal note of laurels and violets follow. With the addition of air, the development is noticeably moving in an excitingly sophisticated direction. The note of black truffle, which reminds me of the tuber from the southwest Périgord in France, comes to the fore. Fine nuances of raisins – underlined by the scent of the rose petals – give the truffle note exciting accents. New facets such as the sweetness of dates, a freshness reminiscent of menthol and delicate tannins give the wine an enormous depth. The aroma image of “Komplex19” is developing more and more into an artful painting.
