Restrained burgundy tones with a wide range of aromas. It carries an incredibly animating acidity and a great play of cherry notes. The fullness and concentration presents itself soft and silky on one side and racy and spicy on the other – the wine is very uplifting.
Tasting note
The scent of rose water and lychees flutters towards us. It is already clear that the Cuvée Komplex 19 from 2018 has grown up. Much more balanced and absolutely intellectual, it shows itself as a perfect, new overall picture, from all Komplex 19 cuvées before. With the romance from 2016 and spice from 2017, the 2018 vintage impresses with even more precise aromas that can either be enjoyed now or in five years’ time.
More oxygen and time and the silky texture has become even more velvety. Silk became cashmere and cashmere became passion. Each additional sip makes you feel like you are coming home and is filled with such an overwhelming emotion that is second to none. The cuvée keeps its quality concentrated and focused and does not lose any of its calm, subtle nature. The cuvée Komplex 19 from 2018 is not a showman, but a completely honest skin that entertains many times better with its complexity and authenticity.
